Expert Review Survey

Overview

Expert review is fundamental to how UKRI makes funding decisions. We are undertaking this survey to better understand the experiences of people who provide written reviews for UKRI and the organisations that support them.

This survey will help inform changes to the way UKRI recruits, supports and communicates with reviewers. We also want to understand ways we can support the recognition of this cruicial work. 

We are interested in learning about reveiwer motivations, challenges, training and support, and organisational culture.

The survey is split into 2 sections:  

• For reviewers: for individuals who have previously written a review for a UKRI funding application. 

• For organisations: for representatives of research organisations who can provide an organisational perspective on peer review.

You only need to complete one section of this survey. The section you see will be selected automatically based on your answer to the first question.

The survey should take approximately 15 mins.
