Multiple Long-Term Conditions: From Research to Reality

Overview

Join us for Multiple Long-Term Conditions: From Research to Reality on the 7-8 May 2025, a conference and showcase sharing outcomes from the Research Collaboratives supported via Strategic Priority Fund “Tackling Multimorbidity at Scale” and NIHR Artificial Intelligence for MLTC (AIM) funding initiatives. This conference is an opportunity for those from across the MLTC research community to come together, build new collaborations and support a wider impact of this investment by highlighting the results for the policy makers, industry and regulatory stakeholders.

The conference will be held on the Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 May at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre, BCEC, Birmingham. The venue is a 2-minute walk from Birmingham New Street train station, via Station St and Hill St/Niddries Ln.

Why Attend:

  • Showcase Innovation: Discover cutting-edge research outcomes and innovative solutions from the SPF and AIM funded projects.
  • Network Building: Engage with leading researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and regulatory stakeholders to forge new collaborations.
  • Impact and Implementation: Join discussions and gain insights on the future of MLTC and translating research findings into practical applications.

The full agenda will be available closer to the time.

Who Should Attend:

Researchers, including those who were or weren’t involved in the SPF and AIM initiatives, clinicians, policymakers, industry professionals, and regulatory stakeholders interested in the advancements and collaborative efforts in the field of multiple long-term conditions. We especially welcome patients and individuals with lived experiences to participate in the Conference to help shape learning and the future of MLTC research.

The conference is free to attend and includes lunch and refreshments on both days. For those involved in ongoing SPF programmes, travel and subsistence (T&S) will be paid for through their awards. For those involved in AIM Programmes, do get in contact with your relevant NIHR team for information. For other attendees, we can only cover T&S for one team member and one PPIE representative who was involved in finished SPF programmes. While there is no limit to the number of team members who can register, only the designated representative/s will have their expenses covered by UKRI and travel and accommodation for others will need to be covered by alternative sources.

We look forward to welcoming you in May 2025. Join us in driving forward the research and application of solutions for multiple long-term conditions.
