Landscape review of the current and future capabilities, capacities and opportunities for research using animals (CCORA) in the UK
Overview
The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Medical Research Council (MRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), are conducting a stakeholder questionnaire to gather insights from individuals and organisations involved in UK animal research. This includes those working in academia, industry (biotech, pharma, CROs), research facilities, and regulatory or oversight bodies.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to better understand stakeholder experiences, expectations, and challenges across the sector, and to support future strategic planning and collaboration.
Your responses will help us identify key priorities, areas of strength, and opportunities for improvement. Findings will be anonymised and reviewed by a dedicated panel and will contribute to shaping future engagement and support initiatives led by BBSRC, MRC, and partners.
This questionnaire is optional and will take between 15 and 30 minutes.
If you take part in the questionnaire we will ensure that anything that you share with us is used anonymously unless you have agreed to be contacted in relation to your responses.
We will store your data securely and handle it in line with UK data protection legislation.
If you would like to know more, including how to exercise your data protection rights, please see our UKRI privacy notice.
We appreciate your time and input. Your voice is essential in helping us strengthen the animal research community in the UK.
