Global Talent visa - Nominate an employer or host organisation
Overview
The Global Talent visa is a visa route run by the UK Government to provide a fast and efficient visa offer to those working in science and research.
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is an endorsing body for the Global Talent visa.
We maintain a list of approved UK research organisations that can employ or host applicants who hold, or provide critical contributions to work supported by, an award or grant from an endorsed funder.
To become an approved employing or hosting organisation, nominees must provide UKRI with evidence that the organisation meets the following criteria:
- Has a published research strategy and/or a track record of performing R&I in the UK
- Has received at least £30k of public funding from a GTV endorsed funder within the last 5 years
In summer 2026, we worked with membership organisations of innovative businesses to add over 100 businesses to the list. This targeted approach allows us to proactively offer support to help new eligible employers recruit using the GTV.
We are currently not accepting new nominations.
You can register your interest in the possibility of nominating your organisation to use the Global Talent visa in the future by completing this short form instead.
UKRI will contact you if opportunities become available.
