Expressions of interest - UKRI (MRC) SEA networking event

Overview

UKRI is inviting expressions of interest from UK-based researchers to attend an in-person networking event in Bangkok, Thailand on 20, 21 and 22 February 2024.

The event will be concerned with infectious diseases of relevance to Southeast Asia and with epidemic and antimicrobial resistance potential, and will support new connections and research collaborations ahead of a funding opportunity on this topic launching in 2024.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 23:59 on 11 December 2024. Please note that UKRI will only be able to invite one researchers per institution. Attendees will be required to represent their institutional interests as well as their own research area of expertise. 

Travel arrangements and stay at Bangkok will be covered by UKRI for sucessful applicants.

Please note that attending the workshop will not be a prerequisite for applying to the call. Conversely, attendance will not guarantee funding through the call nor be part of the assessment criteria.
