STFC Summer School Funding Review: Organiser Survey

Overview

STFC is reviewing the funding arrangements for Summer Schools to better understand the resources required to organise and deliver Summer Schools and to gather evidence to inform future funding arrangements.

This survey seeks the views of current and former Summer School organisers on the value of Summer Schools, the resources required to deliver them, and the effectiveness of current funding arrangements.

Please note that costs governed by UKRI Travel and Subsistence policy are not within the scope of this review.

Why your views matter

STFC is reviewing the funding arrangements for Summer Schools and is seeking evidence from current and former organisers to better understand the resources required to organise and deliver these events.

Your experience and feedback will help STFC:

• Understand the value and impact of Summer Schools.
• Better understand the management, administrative and technical support required to deliver Summer Schools.
• Identify the extent of any in-kind support provided by institutions and partner organisations.
• Assess whether current funding arrangements and funding limits remain appropriate.
• Inform future discussions on Summer School funding arrangements.

All responses will be reviewed by STFC and used to support future policy development and decision-making relating to Summer School funding.
