The MRC-GSK Experimental Medicine Initiative to Explore New Therapies (EMINENT) network are running a leadership development course as part of their training programme for their early career scientists and fellows. The network is keen to engage with other MRC Fellows and have secured an additional 8 places on the course.

The course aims to cover transferrable skills around managing teams, project, commercial leadership, and strategic leadership. It will include:

  • 1 hour 1-1 online discussion to understand personal development needs

  • 1-day face-to-face training to address collective themes of interest to the cohort, including approaches and tools to support project leadership, team leadership and commercial working

  • 2-hour follow-up 1-1 coaching (online)

The course will take place in June-23 (exact date to be confirmed), in Newcastle. Training will be delivered in-person over two half-days. Day-1 is expected to start around mid-day start, with an opportunity to network with other fellows over dinner. Day-2 will finish around mid-day.

The network is particularly keen for Clinical Fellows working in or with a strong interest in experimental medicine to attend.
