Perspectives of Internationally Educated and Globally Experienced UKRI Employees
Overview
This survey explores how international backgrounds influence colleagues’ strengths, opportunities and challenges, helping us understand the experiences of internationally educated or internationally experienced staff and identifying opportunities for improving support and empowering colleagues from global backgrounds at UKRI.
This work is being led by Antonino Puglisi as part of UKRI’s Emerging Leadership Programme (ELP), with support from Sarah Goler Solecki, co‑founding representative of the Globetrotters staff group. Drawing on international experience from several countries, Antonino is examining how colleagues from cultures outside the UK contribute to UKRI’s wider strategic aims.
Your responses will help inform future equity, diversity and inclusion work, organisational learning and a presentation within the ELP aimed at highlighting the important role international colleagues play across UKRI. Findings will also be shared with the Globetrotters Staff Group, providing valuable insights to inform their advocacy work and highlight actions UKRI can take to better support our communities.
The survey is anonymous, most questions are optional, and it should only take a few minutes to complete. All information will be stored in accordance with UKRI’s data protection policy, and only Antonino Puglisi and Sarah Goler Solecki will have access to the data.
Please note: If you are based in UKRI corporate please select 'Other' for your area of the organisation. Unfortunately, this was missed when the survey was launched and we are unable to add it now that it is live. Apologies for that but thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences - your insights are genuinely appreciated.
