Overview
Thank you for taking the time to apply to be a member of the MRC College of Experts.
In the survey we will ask you to provide the following information. Check that you have this information to hand before you begin:
- your areas and levels of research expertise
- details of your review experience, including funding panel membership
- details of your research experience, including funding you have applied for and been awarded
- if applicable, your open researcher and contributor ID (ORCID) number
- a short paragraph (approximately 250 words) about your motivation for applying
- examples of how you have contributed to the wider research community (approximately 250 words)

This survey has been created using an accessible theme and survey checklist. An accessible survey is designed so that people with varying hearing, movement, sight, and cognitive abilities can complete it. What happens next
Outcomes for this recruitment round will be sent mid-December 2026.
If you opted into the MRC college talent pool the data collected in this survey may be stored for up to five years. This will allow us to consider your application until the recruitment round taking place in 2029. If you wish to remove your application before it is automatically removed after five years you must email mrc.eventsandcommitteesteam@mrc.ukri.org.
If you opted out of the MRC panel talent pool your application will automatically be removed after one year.
