ESRC Global Strategy

Overview

ESRC is conducting a stakeholder survey to gather views and perceptions of the value of international research opportunities in the social sciences and the role of ESRC in enabling them. This engagement will inform the development of ESRC's Global Strategy and its future vision for international working, within the context of the wider ESRC Strategy.   

This survey is anonymous. However, by completing the Respondent Information section you will help us to assess if we have gathered views from a diverse range of groups as part of our engagement. 

Depending on the detail of your responses, we anticipate that the survey should take around 15 minutes to answer. 

This is an exploratory exercise only and is not a guarantee of future funding or managed calls in the ESRC international portfolio. 

The survey will close on Thursday 22nd February 2024.

Privacy Note

All personal data provided to UK Research and Innovation via this form will be processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. Further information on how we use personal data can be found in the UK Research and Innovation Privacy Notice (Privacy notice – UKRI).  

All data collected in this survey will be held securely. The full dataset will be available to the ESRC and used for internal analysis and monitoring purposes only. The high-level results of the surveys will be aggregated and used to inform ESRC Global Strategy development and internal reporting purposes only. After completion of the process all data will be deleted.

Why your views matter

We have been gathering intelligence from a variety of sources and are now keen to learn more from our external stakeholder community. We would greatly appreciate your time and input to this exercise, whether or not you have prior experience of ESRC international schemes. 

By seeking the views of our wider community, we aim to shape our Global Strategy to ensure it is well informed, inclusive, and relevant to the challenges faced in a fast-changing international research context.

This survey is now closed. We are analysing your responses and hope to be able to report back on the high-level findings of the survey and the Global Strategy when possible.
