EPSRC International - Expression of Interest Form (National Science Foundation)
Overview
Applicants no longer need to submit an expression of interest if they want to work with partners supported by Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), Research Ireland, or Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP). We decided to remove the expression of interest stage for applications involving these funding agencies. Applicants also do not need to submit an expression of interest if they plan to work with partners supported by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). They can apply directly using the working with overseas scientists UKRI funding opportunity page without receiving an invitation.
Applicants only need to submit an expression of interest if they plan to work with partners supported by the US National Science Foundation (NSF). We will work with staff at NSF to evaluate the submitted expression of interest and invite applicants to submit a full application if the expression of interest passes our checks.
- EPSRC complies with the General Data Protection Regulations 2016/679 (EU) (GDPR). We process and handle personal information according to these regulations. UKRI supports lead agency opportunities with the US National Science Foundation (NSF). Applicants intending to apply through the UKRI/NSF Lead Agency Opportunity should be aware that the NSF has issued a Statement on NSF Priorities and guidance on the Implementation of Recent Executive Orders, which are updated regularly. UKRI routinely encourages all applicants to discuss applications with their research offices and collaborators, as appropriate, before submitting an expression of interest (EoI) or Intention to Submit form. Additionally, applicants should be aware that processing timelines may be longer than usual through either the UKRI or NSF submission route.
