Sustainable Industrial Futures Expression of Interest

Overview

This is a £26million EPSRC and NERC flagship investment focussed on tackling cross-sectoral research challenges rooted in excellent, leading-edge engineering, physical and environmental sciences and transdisciplinary approaches to enable the transition of UK industrial manufacturing processes and operations to net zero. Major progress is required to make significant advances in industrial emissions in the UK and EPSRC and NERC aims to drive a sustainable industrial future, shifting the UK away from environmentally detrimental industries and processes to more sustainable and circular alternatives.

There is a two stage application process with an Expression of Interest (EoI) followed by a peer reviewed full proposal stage. It is mandatory to submit an EoI if you wish to submit a full proposal.

Expression of Interest stage

Please complete this survey to express your interest in submitting a full proposal to this opportunity.  This EoI survey will be open from 27 June 2024 to 07 August 2024.  The EoI will request the following details:

• project lead name, affiliation and email address

• co-lead names

• vision and aims for the programme

• areas of complementarity you are seeking

• How you would like people to contact you
