Systemic AI Safety Grants Programme - Reviewer request

Closed 25 Nov 2024

Opened 15 Oct 2024

Overview

Please complete this survey if you are interested in being a Reviewer for the Systemic AI Safety Grants Programme. Reviewers will need to be available to assess applications between the 28th November and 5th of December. Thank you for your time and expertise.

Addressing AI's risks to people and society requires looking beyond AI models' capabilities. AI risk management must also include understanding the impact on the systems and infrastructure in which AI models operate.

Systemic AI safety means safeguarding the societal systems and critical infrastructure into which AI is being deployed–to make our world more resilient to AI-related hazards and to enable its benefits.

The AI Safety Institute (AISI), in partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), is excited to support impactful research that takes a systemic approach to AI safety. We will begin by offering a round of seed grants, followed by future rounds with more substantial awards.
