Opened 13 Jan 2022

Overview

Fostering inclusion is essential for a high-performing research and innovation system. A diversity of people and ideas produces a thriving research and innovation system.

To support our vision for an outstanding research and innovation system, we have developed our draft equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy. This builds on the work and actions from our councils, and through extensive engagement, listening and working with our staff, our communities, and in partnership with the research and innovation system.

Providing your views

Whilst we are publishing the draft strategy in full, we are seeking responses on the following specific sections:

  • our ambition
  • our strategic objectives.

We welcome responses from anyone with an interest or involvement in research and innovation, including everyone who works for UKRI. You can respond either as an individual, organisation or group and we ask you to indicate this in your response.

Why your views matter

We are now looking for feedback on the draft strategy through an open consultation. We welcome your input on what UKRI would need to do to achieve our ambitions, and the opportunities you can see to work with us in achieving them.

By engaging with this online survey, you will be contributing to the development of the strategy and playing a vital role in shaping our future ambitions and plans.

This process is not the only opportunity or way in which to engage with us. We welcome continual dialogue and engagement with all parts of the system and encourage the sector to continue to challenge and work with us to deliver sustainable change.
