BBSRC One Health Evaluation: Grant Holder Survey

Overview

BBSRC conducts a rolling programme of evaluations of its significant investments in research, innovation, and training. Evaluation activities contribute to the development of BBSRC’s wider evidence base which enables accountability, informs funding decisions, and supports learning to improve policy and practice.

BBSRC are currently undertaking an evaluation of its investments in One Health. One Health is an integrated, transdisciplinary approach that brings together multiple sectors, disciplines (such as biology, medicine, engineering, economics, environmental, mathematics, social and veterinary sciences), and communities to address the health of people, animals, plants, and the environment. It recognises that the health of humans, plants, and companion, domestic and wild animals, and the wider environment (including ecosystems) are closely linked and inter-dependent.

You have been invited to partake in this grant holder survey as you were a PI on a BBSRC One Health grant which was active between the years of 2015 and 2025. If you have received multiple BBSRC One Health grants, please respond based on your overall or average experience.

Why your views matter

Your feedback is crucial in helping us understand the impact and effectiveness of the BBSRC’s investments in One Health and helping us to shape future research priorities. The results will be analysed as part of the evaluation and included in the final evaluation report that will be available at the BBSRC webpage. Examples of our previous reports can be found at the following link: Evaluation in BBSRC – UKRI
